Most cities of the Philippines are now having the Barangay Information Officers Network (BION) that will help peace and order in the community.
The BION officers will be the one reporting all the necessary things needed in their Barangay, disseminate correct information to their vicinities, and report problems that causes trouble in the community.
BION officers will receive stipend for making great accomplishments.
This network enhances the community with real and factual information. The progress of a city will also be tackled and will also be informed to the people by the BION officers.
Progress such as free hospital admission, free medicines from the city's pharmacy, offices nearby that will help the local people in getting documents smooth and easy, etc.
With BION, fake news will be lessen.
Some Filipinos said, "BION, the newest Maritess" --- that BION is now the answer for those who loves chismis (rumors or Maritess), but this time to spread facts around the area.
This will also help Filipinos to be more informed about their city's progress & situation.
